PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Fellow Lions Ladies and Gentlemen

My wife Chandan and I are honoured and privileged to welcome you all on behalf of The Lions Club of London Seven Kings to a very joyous and Happy Diwali celebration.

Your presence and participation this evening gives my fellow Lions and I great joy in being part of this organisation.

This year again as all other years we organised various events to raise funds for many worthy causes. In addition we also supported various clubs within our District, forged special relations with Lions Club of China Town whereby we participated in their prestigious Dragon Boat race and all members and partners had great fun.

Last year you all supported us in raising funds for a Hostel Building project in Bilimora. It was a great pleasure for me to go and visit the site in India, and it will be a wonderful project when it is completed.

Today’s event is in aid of Gift of Hope (Food For Life Vrindavan) and for the other charities that Lions Club of London Seven Kings support. Recently Lion Kalpesh climbed base camp in Himalaya in support of same charity. Whilst in Kathmandu Lion Kalpesh met up with the President and some members of Kathmandu Gliese. I am proud to announce that that he organised the twinning of our clubs which has now been confirmed by Lions Club International.

Lions Club of London Seven Kings is honoured to put on tonight’s event. My sincere thanks go to event organisers Lion Sailesh Mashru and Dipak Purohit along with their committee in organising tonight’s function.

Many thanks also go to our Past President Lion Bob Jandoo and his team for making it possible to create this striking brochure, along with members who helped in generating the content.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the management team of City Pavilion for making this an enjoyable and successful evening.

On a final and personal note, I would like to thank all of you for joining us this evening & making this a wonderful celebration. Have a fabulous evening.
